Too much of a sour milk aroma. Looks nice. Flavor is sweet and chocolaty, far too sweet. Thick at the same time.

Nothing kills my mood for a porter like black patent does. Something about that just makes me think of liking a charcoal briquette. This beer has plenty of that. Aroma was roasty, slightly nutty and a bit bready. Appearance was dark brown with red highlights. Mouthfeel was too thin for my liking. Flavor was charcoal, roasted malts and an odd sourness that I found unappealing.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark brown color with reddish-orange highlights. Head was light tan and left a little lace behind. Chocolatey and nutty malty aroma and flavor with only a hint of toasted bread. Medium bodied, moderately dry. Decent.

tap at the brewpub. An outstanding porter that pours fairly dark with a large brown head that lasts. Definitely the best beer in their lineup. Aromas of choclolate and roasted malts, flavors of chocolate and a hint of nuts and coffee. Very smooth and robust.

Very rich and dark porter here. Plenty of burnt and roasted malt flavors here. A bit acidic, but that comes with the territory. Went great with the ranchers pizza.

Tap. Black color with a brown head. Very robust aroma and flavor. Toasted malt, coffee, rubber, and some sourness.

One of the best Porters I"ve ever had. Incredible flavors. Perfectly balanced. Only wish I could have taken some home.
