On tap at the brewpub. A white head topped a dark gold body. The aroma was tea and apples. The taste was bitter orange peels with some woody dryness. There was also a little bit of dirt.

A fine-smelling pale, with a noticeable but light hop character. Flavor was also nice. Like the IPA, not real hoppy but consistent and smooth. A good grainy session beer.

The 2nd beer of the sampler order. An English style pale ale? Well, it was hoppy a la an American pale. In fact, with the cascade type flavor it reminded of SNPA, but not nearly as refined. Aroma was nearly non-existant, but after some prodding I could get some grapefruity hops. Appearance was clear, light amber in color with an off-white head. Flavor was fairly nicely balanced with hops and malt. Overall, for a beer in made in Lake Tahoe that’s supposed to be an English style pale ale, it’s not that bad.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear light orange color. Head was off white and left a bit of lace on the glass. Aroma and flavor were of light malty cereal grain, a touch of caramel, and subdued flowery hops. Not bad.

There was something seriously wrong with this beer. Tasted like something out of a garden hose. No, the rubber taste was too strong, tasted like it was fermented in a garden hose. No good at all. It was nice and bitter though.

Medium amber color, Medium white/tan head. Aroma is fruity and sweet (took a while to get any aroma). A medium bodied pale ale. Malts are nutty and fairly sweet. Hops are kind of mild, slightly spicy. A pale ale in the English style, so it much maltier than hoppy. It’s a little too sweet, but manageable. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Tap. Amber color. A decent amount of hops but not powerful. The malt is king in this pale ale.

Good beer. The appearance was hazy and golden. The nose was very floral, hop cone strong. The flavor was very malty, but very very well hopped also to provide balance. The finish was crisp and bitter. HopHead delight.
