Bright clear light amber colour with a scanty white head. Toffee and pear aroma. Clean toffee malt, sweet, with a fruity note and a faint metallic quality in the finish that took a little getting used to. Not bad. Oakes (8166), Kowloon, Hong Kong

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 24, 2006 Light amber colour, thin white head. Light fruity sweet aroma. No fusels. Light apple, slight perfumy character. It’s sweet, but not malty. Too many esters and not enough malt. Oh well, it could have been a lot worse.
