Commercial Description:
A rich and full bodied ale brewed in the southern English brown ale style. English specialty malts and hops are used in the brewing process to make a smooth drinking pint to savor a long day of skiing on the hills!

Nitro draft at the brewpub. Menu said 5% ABV, 15 IBU’s. Poured a clear light brown color. The head was beige with the thick, creamy characteristics of a nitrogenated beer. Smelled of pale malts and roasted nuts. medium bodied with a smooth nitro mouth feel. The flavor was malt dominated and reminded me of nuts and crackers. Not bad.

(Draught) Sampler from the brewpub. Pours a near headless brown body. There is so little difference between the styles. Slightly below average for this style. 4/2/4/3/9

Draught at the brewpub, 15 IBU
Cloudy dark brown color, creamy head. light roasted malt aroma. The roasted malt flavor is very mild, with caramel too, the body quite lean and, unexpected, it has a quite refreshing character. Easily drinkable, pleasant.

Another nitro tap at the brewhouse, pours a lighter shade of brown than the stout, coppery in colour, with the expected lively nitro head. Again the aroma is low, but the impression is chocolatey caramel. The palate is silky and creamy with simple chocolate-kissed caramel and very low bitterness. Once again, I feel the nitro detracts from this beer’s full character and potential, just as it does with the stout..
