Earlier Rating: 2/5/2006 Total Score: 3.4 Draft at brewpub.Creamy ehite mostly lasting head. Dark brownd colour. Moderate malty aroma, a little hoppy. OK flavor, but too strong coffee-note. Long finish. But a little watery. NosirIwont (1032), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark Nov 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown with a big light brown head. Roasted, bit of tart aroma with a somewhat fish-like note to it at first (not that nice). As it warms, this fortunately disappears, and the aroma is now roasted with some coffee and slight chocolate notes in the background; also has an occasional whiff of vanilla. Flavour is roasted, bitter and a bit tart. Finish is roasted, bitter and dry. Not bad but nothing really interesting either. 12-11-08. trapez (576), Hilleroed, Denmark Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. Dark chocolate and roasted malt in aroma. Dark brown colour with light broiwn head. soft, mild dark chocolate in taste, whivh makes this beer more drinkable than most porters. Yu’re not completely dried up after a single sip. thebeertourist (2459), Oslo, Norway Oct 10, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown, almost black with a dense beige head. Rich chocolate and coffee nose and flavours. Roasted flavours balance soft vanilla. Enjoyable. harrisoni (6125), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 6, 2008 Cask condition at EBF 08. Now that is good. Good liquorice porter, not overly carbonated, smooth, choc, liquorice. It’s got that wider cask condition ale feel. That’s not bad and probably the best of this brewery. cgarvieuk (3397), Edinburgh, Scotland Oct 3, 2008 draught at EBF Copenhagen 2008 ...
