Draught at the brewpub. A red brown beer with a tan head. The aroma is dusty and of nuts and chocolate. The taste is of nuts, chocolate, light roasted malt and biscuits. Medium body with a sweet dry finish.

Light light unclear medium amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, smoke - peat (like ashtray), toffee, buttery. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. (Malt bitter). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. (130608)

May 16, 2008 Draught @ The brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy brown colorwith a small off-white head. Malty hoppy caramel aroma with some weak hints of smoke. Sweetish roaste malty caramel flavor with some hints of hops and chocolate. Sweet roasted malty caramel finish with a hoppy bitter aftertaste.

May 13, 2008 Small offwhite head. Hazy deep amber body. Smoky stale aroma with roasty coffee notes. Dry-sweet smoky wooden roasty taste with chocolatey notes. Dry long wooden earthy roasty aftertaste lasts for a long time. Very nice. (0.1l draft at the brewpub.)
