Skinnyviking (2721), Copenhagen, Denmark Apr 30, 2008 Draught. Long lasting and creamy off-white head. Height I could not judge as the bar maid intentionally made it low. Very dark red brown body. Lovely cocoa aroma Sweet, good and long. The bitterness is surprising and on top of it the beer has smoky notes. Cocoa is not dominating. The body feels pretty solid in spite of the low alcohol percentage. Low carbonation. Long cocoa aftertaste with bitterness as well. Far more complex than expected. thewolf (3959), Kolding, Denmark Apr 16, 2008 Tap @ the brewpub.
Pours a very redish brown with a small creamy off-white head. Nice chocolate aroma with hazelnuts, caramel and light roasted malts. Medium carbonation and a light dryness. Sweet chocolate, cocoa, chewy nuttyness. Perhaps just a bit thin, but very refreshing. Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 19, 2008 Draft. A hazy red-brown beer with a thick tan head. The aroma is very sweet and very malty, combined with medium notes of dusty hops, brown sugar, and grain as well as a hint of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, milk chocolate, and toffee, as well as lighter notes of roasted malt, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The body is a bit thin.
