Not pitch black, but close to and with a nice brown head. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and herbal. Nice smooth mouthfeel.

300ml enjoyed in perfect rating conditions early on a Friday afternoon at the brewpub. Promising appearance with a dark yellow head over a deep dark brown coloured body. Espresso aroma. Roasted taste of coffee beans and chocolate. Short yeasty ending. Nice porter that does not quite opens up as fully as I expected (12.01.2007).

Draught. Pitch black colour with a nice average creamy light brown head. Aroma of smoky malts, liquorice, chocolate, coffee and nice fruitiness. Flavour is smooth, bitter with smoked malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, dry finish. Long lasting aftertaste. A great Porter!

Draught @ brewpub, Copenhagen. Black color with an impressive head that lasted for quit some time. Excellent curtains like lacing. Aroma is resenable complex with coffee, burned, caraml, chocolate, sweet candies and slight dry fruite. I also detected butter like notes in nose and mouth. I felt that texture was also light buttery. Medium bodied with a medium sweet flavour. Finish is quit balanced with sweet notes as predominant. Agree with Bierkönig that this was quit close to Guinness in appearance and taste only slightly better.

Draught at the Brewpub. This one has boiled a little more than the earlier brews, it gives it a bit morecaramel and licorice. Aroma: licorice, burned malts. Taste: Burned malts, licorice, coffee. Bitter / dry finish.

Rich chocolate aroma, with a strong malt backing. Very promising. Standard porter look of black and a brown head, although the lacing is very good. The mouthful is extremely rich with some caramel sweetness, and a big hit of chocolate malt. Any hops are really lost in the roast malt, and the finish shows quite a lot of roast bitterness. Overall it is one very enjoyable beer.
