href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/denmark/copenhagen/brewpub-k%F8benhavn/4222.htm target=blank>BrewPub København in Copenhagen, Denmark. Near black in colour, long lasting tan coloured head, nice lacing. The aroma is of dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans and espresso, some licorice. The flavour is of deep roast, dark chocolate and coffee, very sweet. Dry mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, sweet first then a coffee roast. Not to bad but again I feel this is lacking something. larsga (2937), Oslo, Norway Jul 23, 2006 Creamy dark beige lasting head over black body with faint reddish brown at the edges. Milky roasty coffeeish sweetish aroma with notes of chocolate and caramel pudding. Taste is acidic burnt toast with hop notes, a tad chalky and watery. Burnt aftertaste. Hmmm. Was this one off, or is it meant to be acidic? Thought it a bit one-dimensional, as well. Decent. (0.1l taster on tap.) Ambassador (13), Nørrebro Bryghus, Denmark Jun 17, 2006 I do love porters and this one is well up to speed. Full, roasted liqorice like malt flavors, a nice subtle bitterness and hints of smoke. Quite dry too. This is a nice beer, pure and simple. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark Jun 9, 2006 Updated: Oct 5, 2006On tap. Pours black in colour with a small head. Roasted and malty with notes of hops, liquorice, butter and coffee. MrWalker (927), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 8, 2006 Keg @ the brewpub, Copenhagen 22 May 2006 Lots of coffee in here. And burned dark chocolate bitterness. Full bodied and quite dry. Good balance of malts and hops. Soft and more like a stout to me. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 6, 2006 Draught. Small white head. Black body. Coffee aroma with hints of choccolate. Same with regard to flavor, smooth and easy to drink without much bitterness without being sweet. Interesting.
