Dark red-black.
Deep coffee roastyness with a light sweetness on top.
Lovely smooth mouthfeel.
A bit sticky milk chocolate aftertaste.
Quite nourishing beer - your palate is exhausted after one.

Jul 31, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown to black color, tan to brown head. Very burnt taste with some grain oat feeling. Soft burnt coffee taste, mellow mouthfeel. Burnt aftertaste. Low bitterness.

Oct 6, 2005 Black with a small creamy offwhite head. Coffee and cocoa aroma, salty, roasted and with some chocolate. Maybe a bit smoky as well. Salty tar flavor, coffee and with a bitter finish.

Apr 20, 2008 Near black colored with brown hints, little beige head. Biting aroma with hops and licorice, surprisingly hopped porter. Medium bodied. Flavor starts with fine roastiness and chocolate, aftertaste lasts still with hops. Weird, but good porter.
