Tap @ Brewpub. Dark color, short head. Aroma of coffee, chocolat. Sweet taste, bitter as well, chocolat again, some roasted malt, coffee. Very nicely balanced and the chocolat tones are the ones I like. Very nice beer.

Creamy dark beige lasting head over black body with faint reddish brown at the edges. Milky roasty coffeeish sweetish aroma with notes of chocolate and caramel pudding. Taste is acidic burnt toast with hop notes, a tad chalky and watery. Burnt aftertaste. Hmmm. Was this one off, or is it meant to be acidic? Thought it a bit one-dimensional, as well. Decent. (0.1l taster on tap.)

Draught at the Brewpub, Copenhagen. Pours out in hazy dark brown colour with a low creamy off-white foam. Black coffee, salty licorice, tar and Anjou pears in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of black coffee, tar, mild smoke, roasted nuts and licorice with hints of black chocolate and red apples. Long medium bitter finish of black coffee and tar. Nice Porter!

300ml enjoyed in perfect rating conditions early on a Friday afternoon at the brewpub. Promising appearance with a dark yellow head over a deep dark brown coloured body. Espresso aroma. Roasted taste of coffee beans and chocolate. Short yeasty ending. Nice porter that does not quite opens up as fully as I expected (12.01.2007).

On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown, almost black with a dense beige head. Rich chocolate and coffee nose and flavours. Roasted flavours balance soft vanilla. Enjoyable.

On tap at the Brewpub. Black colour with a great head. Total dominated of liquorice with notes of smoke. Also licuorice flavour with hints of coffee. Little bitter finish, very great tasty ale.

(Draught at Brewpub Köbenhavn, 17 May 2007) Black colour with pale brown head. Roasted, creamy nose with chocolate, liquorice and hints of blueberries. Roasted taste with creamy notes of chocolate and hints of liquorice. Hints of sweetness, but mainly dry. Not overly complex, but nice balance.
