(Draught at the brewpub on 2009-09-16) Almost black and clear. Small tan coloured head. Roastedness and cream in aroma. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Roastedness, bitterness, coffee, cream, bitterness, chocolate and hint of cough mixture in taste. Sweet and bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown with a big light brown head. Roasted, bit of tart aroma with a somewhat fish-like note to it at first (not that nice). As it warms, this fortunately disappears, and the aroma is now roasted with some coffee and slight chocolate notes in the background; also has an occasional whiff of vanilla. Flavour is roasted, bitter and a bit tart. Finish is roasted, bitter and dry. Not bad but nothing really interesting either. 12-11-08.

Flaske.
