A good example of a traditional London Porter. Slightly spicy, and chocolatey taste. Perhaps a bit weak in the end. Not much aftertaste. tarjei (1757), Bryne, Norway

Dark sugary and fruity aroma.
Dark red-black.
Deep coffee roastyness with a light sweetness on top.
Lovely smooth mouthfeel.
A bit sticky milk chocolate aftertaste.
Quite nourishing beer - your palate is exhausted after one. rlgk (3378), Vårgårda, Sweden

Coffee and cocoa aroma, salty, roasted and with some chocolate. Maybe a bit smoky as well. Salty tar flavor, coffee and with a bitter finish. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2005 Chocolate, biscuity, lightly roasty malt aroma. Opaque black body with strong, fine bubbled, dense, tan head that lasts well and coats the glass. Chocolate and roasty malts with liquorice undertones in the flavour. Somewhat mineral feeling. Roasty finishing bitterness lasts on the tongue. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2005 Draught at Brewpub København. Guinness on cask appearance - thick creamy tan head on an almost black body. Sweet chocolaty aroma with a mild roasted tone and a good balance. Rather weak though. Roasted and chocolaty flavor with a sourish edge (like Guinness) and tones of liquorice. Soft and smooth with a sweet candied touch. Extremely drinkable and well balanced and the best (and only flawless) from Brewpub København! voota (765), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2006 Rich chocolate aroma, with a strong malt backing. Very promising. Standard porter look of black and a brown head, although the lacing is very good. The mouthful is extremely rich with some caramel sweetness, and a big hit of chocolate malt. Any hops are really lost in the roast malt, and the finish shows quite a lot of roast bitterness. Overall it is one very enjoyable beer.
