Draugth: Black, tall beige head. Burned/roasted malt in the aroma aling with some fresh, fruity notes. More roasted malts in the flavour. Coffee (espresso). A touch of Oak? Somewhat watery palate. Very drinkable.

Creamy dark beige lasting head over black body with faint reddish brown at the edges. Milky roasty coffeeish sweetish aroma with notes of chocolate and caramel pudding. Taste is acidic burnt toast with hop notes, a tad chalky and watery. Burnt aftertaste. Hmmm. Was this one off, or is it meant to be acidic? Thought it a bit one-dimensional, as well. Decent. (0.1l taster on tap.)

Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown to black color, tan to brown head. Very burnt taste with some grain oat feeling. Soft burnt coffee taste, mellow mouthfeel. Burnt aftertaste. Low bitterness.

Bottle. Dark, close to black wih a white bubbly head & decent lacings. Nose is very malty, roast chocolate, coffee & caramel. Medium filling body - very smooth & soft. Roast bitter dry end. Simple but very drinkable!

0.5 l bottle. Black color with thick creamy head. Roasty aroma with coffee and charcoal. Fairly drying roastiness in the flavor with charcoal, coffee and dark fruits. More malty backbone would make this better, now this is very straighforwardly roasty.

Draught: Black with a tan head. Lacks body, but suprisingly good. Nice balanced roast, chocolate and fruits. Quite drinkable.

On tap at the Brewpub. Very dark, almost black colour. Majors on burnt, roasty malt with hints of coffee. Easy drinking. Not the most assertive porter but perfectly pleasant. Like the other beers I tried at the brewpub, solid but unspectacular.
