Commercial Description:
A summer style brew originally produced in Wallonia, the French speaking part of Belgium and home to the infamous Battle of the Bulge. This beer was traditionally brewed at the end of the cold season to last through the summer months before refrigeration was common. Now it is brewed year round all over the world.

I love this beer. Had on tap at the 11th Avenue Calgary location. Pour of orange cloudy beige with a fluffy white head. Aroma of fruits, spices, banana. Taste is slightly coriander with hints of apple, banana and tropical fruits. Some lacing and a clean finish. Very similar to a hefe. Pretty darn good beer overall.

YEAH! Brewsters bottle their seasonals in Calgary now! This poured a cloudy orangy-yellow with a puffy white head. No lace. Bubblegum banana spice aroma. Heavier on the spice. As it settles more fruit comes forward with fresh pineapple coming to mind. Yeasty and fruity and very estery. I agree with Presario that this is a split personality beer but I find that the character falls more heavily on the hefe side of things. Still a well made brew for sure!

On tap. Cloudy dark yellow, almost orange, with a thin white head. Dirty funky scent with lots of fruit. Light drinkable Saison, almost too clean. Chalky character and finish. Half a Hefe, half a Saison.
