Dickinsonbeer (2512), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Dec 23, 2007 Thanks to Larry for sharing this growler. This made for a nice hangover reliever for breakfast. Pours a clear woody amber with low carbonation and a thin diminishing head. Aroma is light malty sweetness, harsh phenols, fruity high temp fusels and esters- with an alcoholy spiciness- some nutmeg and cinnamon almost. Light crackery sweet malts, thin caramel syrupy-like, floral and tea-like hops, and a slight fruity alcohol burn in the end. I didnt really like this that much, but somehow I didnt mind drinking it. My headache from my hangover went away after drinking a couple glasses so it gets a bonus point. goldtwins (3721), Nesconset, New York, USA Dec 21, 2007 Growler. Poured a clear copper color with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma was a little toasty with mild notes of chocolate. The alcohol gives up a small amount of fumes. Some sweetness to the malt which give way to some earthiness of hops and then drys out with just a lot of bitterness. Alcohol pepper notes on the finish. Some warmth with a medium to full body. Don’t let it warm up to much. It gets real peppery.
