Chapel (299), Levittown, New York, USA Oct 27, 2007 Nitro tap at the brewpub. dark black with a small but creamy head. Fairly strong chocolate flavor with a mild finish. Fairly thick texture. beastiefan2k (1055), Hicksville, New York, USA Jun 25, 2006 Tap at the brewpub. Also the nitro. Poured with a millimeter of head, all black. Aroma is faintly roasty. Taste is all crap. This may be the worst tasting stout ever. Taste of rubber with a faintly roasty aftertaste. A disturbing static-y mouthfeel. Drank a thrid of it and stopped. bigrond (846), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA May 27, 2006 this was a pretty decent stout, nothing special but pretty good. It was sold as ’Nitro’ stout - and it’s appearence was really nice. Dark with a big grayish head. Fairly tasty - a winner for the beer I’ve had there. JoeMcPhee (3628), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Apr 2, 2006 Deep black with some garnet highlights at the edges. Thick tan creamy head (although 1" of head means 1" of beer I didn’t get). Dark roasty malt aroma, some dry coffeeish notes as well. Would probably be much better without all the nitro. Flavour is pretty good, soft roast, a bit of fruitiness and some soft lingering bitterness. Medium to light bodied with a dry finish. Quaffable. As it warms, some soft malty notes come out as well. goldtwins (3672), Nesconset, New York, USA Jul 25, 2005 Listed as Nitro pushed. Tap. Black with a big tan head. Roasted malt and coffee aroma. Flavor of black coffee, roasted malt and finishes with some bitterness that seems to be from roast not hops. Smooth and flat mouthfeel.
