MaliMisho (208), East Meadow, New York, USA Feb 8, 2008 The man who this beer was named after, Paul Brown, was drinking at the Brick House when I had this one. It was pretty decent, it had a dark brown body, and wasn’t bad.
goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Apr 24, 2008 Poured a clear copper-brown color with a thin tan head. Light roasted aroma with some coffe notes. Sweet and roasted malt flavor. Light-medium body. notalush (2071), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Apr 4, 2008 I was surprised by this one - a lot of brick house beers really don’t sit well with me, but this had a nice creamy body, and a very smooth flavor of roasted nuts and caramel - a tiny bite of hops in the finish - a little buttery, but not in a diacetyl-like way - the metallic character that plagues many of this brewer’s beers was not present at all. JAF737300 (733), New York, New York, USA Aug 13, 2007 Dark brown pour with a thick head. The aroma showed caramel malts with a nice hint of hazelnuts on the mouthfeel. It drank very creamy. Chapel (300), Levittown, New York, USA Jul 31, 2007 Dark brown with a thick creamy head that reveals the palate. I would be lying if I said that this beer had much in the way of a striking aroma, but this was not reflected in the taste what-so-ever. Highly roasted malty taste was dominant from start to finish but there was a hint of nuttiness also.
