Commercial Description:
Chocolate malt makes this a true amber ale an excellent choice for beer lovers looking for a full bodied ale. The basic ingredients are similar to that of Copperhead, but with the addition of chocolate malt and cascade hops, this brew is a bold roasty amber.

Medium copper pour, nice and big head and lacing. Nicely carbed with a fruity bitter hops. Surprising hops out of Coach’s. Little bit of a metallic flavor, eh…

Tap at brewpub: Red amber color with the cloudy unfiltered look. It has a woody aroma, a little tangy and a little bourbon perhaps. The flavor is sweet and malty. It needs more hops to balance it out. I wonder if it was a fresh keg because the carbonation was livelier than the others.

Deep amber colour body with hints of ruby and a light tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, some light hops and a bit of bad vinegar. Medium-bodied; Strong maltiness up front fading to a good deep nuttiness. Aftertaste shows a lot of character-good deep tastes throughout. Overall, a good offering-even considering that I hate the style! This one is definitely the best from the bunch at the brewpub. I sampled this beer on draught at the Bricktown Brewery in Oklahoma City, OK on 17-November-2005.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber color. Medium bodied with a decent carbonation. Sweet caramel malty smell. Taste is of sweet malt and spicy with a hint of black pepper. Finished with a decent hop bite. The brewery pours this beer too cold. Had to let it warm up a bit to enjoy the full flavor of it. Not worth the wait. really..

On draught at the brewpub, offered a dense mouthfeel, dry malty flavor and slight hop presence late.

Very little aroma. Tastes like a slightly, and I mean VERY slightly more hoppy versio of the copperhead. That said, hops are barely detectable, neither is the chocolate malt.

A nice aroam. Starts w/hops at the fron but quickly fades into some fruitiness w/a funky amber finish. Okay is all.
