Commercial Description:
Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml;
A light coloured, moreish ale brewed with the finest Maris Otter Hops and Crystal Malts. A hint of torrified wheat is added producing a satisfying and complex flavour. A fresh dry aftertaste is supported by a fairly hoppy character.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of alcohol and light notes of honey. The flavor is slightly acidic malty with primary notes of caramel, but also lighter notes of fruit and alcohol.

Bottle. Amber with a small head. Aromas are sweet biscuit malts with crisp citrus, especially grapefruit. Some strange acidity. Flavours are sweet grain and citrus with a misplaced acidity on the finish. Still decent despite being a bit odd.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a rough, off-white head. Oxidized aroma of sherry and overripe fruit. Medium body, the mouthfeel is soft and carbonation very low. Caramel and overripe fruit. Almost no bitterness. Nice. 160408

Gold. I get a little caramel in the aroma with some cardboard and metal to the forefront. Sweet, dusty, nutty taste, quite pleasing, despite the fizz. Slight bitterness. As it says on the label, ’Blar Allt a Bhain-Chniuc’, though I’m none the wiser.
