On gravity at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol 13/9/08. Reddish amber with a decent off-white head. Caramel and red fruit aroma with some earthy hops. Flavour was sweet with plenty of malt and a decent bitter finish. Good.

From the brewery, Scotland. Bottled, 230808. Dark amber - brown with off-white head. Aroma of malt and some smoke. Flavor is balanced sweet from caramel and malt with fruit tones and a roast finish and medium bitterness. Best I’ve had from BOA.

330ml, Tesco. Not a bad taster. A medium red body, smooth tasting. Hints of cherry. Not bad.

Bottle. Poured a deep red amber colour. Plenty of malt and a hint of smoke in the aroma. The beer is sweet and malty with a dry finish with a medium body.
