Toasty caramel malts, earthy, bread, and light fruit in the aroma. Light bodied with a higher carbonation level than I would like. Caramel malts, toasty, light doughy flavor, sweet fruit, and a little chocolate. Finish has a higher hop bite than I thought was coming with a dryer than expected feel to it. It’s not bad, it’s just not the type of brown I enjoy. illidurit (898), Santa Cruz, California, USA

Not much lacing, decent retention. Aroma is bready malts with a sweet citric hop tinge. Flavor is bread crusts, cocoa, light roast, and a bit of earthy hoppiness. Mouthfeel is overcarbonated and a little too thin. Comes up a bit short in every category. webbcreative (111), , Oklahoma, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 15, 2008 Poured a clear, dark ruby color with brown swirling through it. The head was short, off-white and failed to produce much lacing. The aroma was caramel malts, faint hops and a touch of fruitiness. The flavor followed suit with caramelly sweetness leading the charge. Not enough roasted malt or chocolate to be considered all that well balanced. Thin, easy drinking mouthfeel.
