This is one of the better browns that I’ve had. Pretty dark for a brown, nice fluffy head. Pleasant caramel malt aroma, rather sweet smelling.. Sweet, bready, malty taste that is nice and smooth. Not a big fan of the style but this is a good one.

Deep amber with a soft head that lasts. Nutty-sweet nose. Sugary malts, with notes of nuts, toast and light brown sugar. Zingy hops with decent bitterness to boot. Pinch of vanilla in the background. Very nice brown ale.

Toasted malt aroma, with hints of buttery caramel, taste is light toasted malt with a kiss of caramel sweetness, and a touch of hop bitterness fade. Though very light, its almost flawless ,a fine brown ale, a pitcher of this would be sweet while watching the Milwaukee Brewers beat down another team

12 oz bottle from Safeway, Port Angeles; Nose of vanilla, sweet caramel malt, and some brazil nuts; lightly hazy rusty brown with a medium cinnamon tan head; flavor has figs, brown sugar, and a small bitter hop note; finish is figgy with some very light bitterness and vanilla at the end. Very good brown ale! Could down this one anytime!

Bridgeport sixers are on sale for $5.49 at the local and I was about to grab some IPA as it is my old standby but I thought "Why not try something new?" Nice brown-red color with a very helathy, foamy head. The smell is at first has a similar component to the IPA so maybe that is the yeast but its followed by a distinct malt smell. Nothing too special but still good. Nutty, brown flavor that is about average for a brown. Not sweet like Newcastle but actually has a bitterness. This would be an interesting Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-22-2008 19:40:27 id: 645884

12 oz bottle via Roth’s. Pours a clear reissh brown with a large beige head. Nose is toasted grain and mild chocolate. Taste is ptetty much toasted barley, some chocolate malts and some nuttiness in the finish/aftertaste. Thin body. Moderate/high carbonation. Not half bad at all.
