Commercial Description:
A healthy dose of Northwest hops balances the sweetness of black strap molasses to make this a velvet-rich, creamy descendent of the great Irish stouts. A real treat for those who crave the dark side of brewing.

Small tan head, fair retention, lacing in a single strand around my glass. Nose is a little chocolatey and roasty. Body is almost medium, lightly creamy. Roast flavors up front, a touch phenolic with hints of dark chcoclate. Finish is dry,a bit chalky. Thanks to kaggie97 for the trade.

12 oz bottle. Looks like Coca-Cola with only a slighlty more substantial head. Immeadiate aroma of coffee and industrial bathroom cleaner. Thin, watery feel. Tastes of coffee, old crackers, and rubbing alcohol. Finishes like a black jellybean. Easy to drink, though not the satisfying stout I was expecting.

A dark brown beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and caramel being most dominant, but also lesser notes of chocolate and straw. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and chocolate, leading to a very long lasting dry end.

Foamy tan head, dark brown body. Roasted malt aroma with a hint of coffee. Nice, but a bit mild. Flavor is hard roasted with some sourness from the malt. Grassy notes and a hint of alcohol. Ultra dry specially in the finish. A good stout but not outstanding.
