Commercial Description:
A healthy dose of Northwest hops balances the sweetness of black strap molasses to make this a velvet-rich, creamy descendent of the great Irish stouts. A real treat for those who crave the dark side of brewing.

Chocolatey good with lots of roasted malt. Very good with caramel aromas and taste. The six is affordable and is enjoyed frequently. Its no Guinness but its certainly good.

If I could drink beer in the morning (alas!) this would be it. Pours deep red-brown with a faint tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of roasted malts with a hint of dried fruit. Very prominent coffee flavor (far better than any real coffee, in my opinion) with a medium body and bitter chocolate finish. Very good dry stout and a great value.

12oz bottle pours black with a creamy tan head that stays very well and laces down the sides of the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and a bit of molassess and coffee. Flavor is nice roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, a bit of molasses and caramel. Palate is smooth creamy and medium bodied. Nice dry finish but a lingering chocolate aftertaste. A very drinkable and tasty dry stout. I enjoyed this one!

Dark brown. Nose rather sweet, some coffee and charcoal. Flavor sweet molasses, roast, coffee. Bit syrupy. An average stout.

Bottle. Pours very dark amber to an opaque black in the glass, with a tan head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of sweet roasted malts with hints of chocolate and molasses. Taste starts with fairly sweet molasses flavors, moving to roasty malt, and finishing dry and bittersweet. Medium-bodied and a bit creamy. I like this quite a bit.

Pours an opaque black with a frothy, nicely-lacing tan head. Aroma of sweet toasted dark caramel and some mild dark chocolate. Body starts with a mild sugary earthy caramel sweetness turning slightly more roasted toward a bittersweet, dry sticky finish. A nice dry stout.

Pours black with a thin slightly off-white head. Smokey, woody, roasted coffee nose with a hint of molasses. Thin, watery palate. Slick feel with soft carbonation. An decent stout.

Pours a lovely black shade with an off-white head that is thick and lasting. Aroma is of sugared burnt coffee. Flavor ends up being a cheap overdone coffee type of thing with maybe a hint of molasses in the very back. Not all that enjoyable but it is pretty to look at.
