Roasted malt and slight chocolate aroma. Very full-flavored stout for 6%. Raw roasted malt and creamy chocolate. Very dry and slightly bitter finish. Nice beer from an under-appreciated brewery. redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2008 Pours a dark black color with a hint of ruby. Aroma is nice and rich, dark, and sweet of lots of malt. Flavor is rich with caramel, molasses, coffee, chocolate, roast flavor and a slight hop bitterness, too.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Ok, these guys get it, just because you are an American micro brewery doesn’t mean you have to go overkill on the hops. Malty and has that coffee flavor you expect from a stout. Not an outstanding stout but better to me than some of the more hyped stouts with higher ratings. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
