Commercial Description:
A healthy dose of Northwest hops balances the sweetness of black strap molasses to make this a velvet-rich, creamy descendent of the great Irish stouts. A real treat for those who crave the dark side of brewing.

A dark brown beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and caramel being most dominant, but also lesser notes of chocolate and straw. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and chocolate, leading to a very long lasting dry end.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Almost black in colour with a reddish tint and a beige head. Rather roasted aroma with a coffeeish touch. Medium-bodied with some roasted malt and a lightly burned edge. Somewhat fruity still - odd for a Stout. Dry finish. Overall a pleasant experience. 220406

Dark brown colour. The aroma is complex but indistinct. Whole grain bread leads the way in the nose but I’m struggling to pick out much of anything else. Molasses notes are at the fore of a sweet, nutty body that features leathery accents and sugar-laden gas station coffee. Roast and hop bitterness are minimal, making this more of a porter (a style in which molasses is more at home anyway).

Black color. Very nice aroma of roasted malt, caramel, wet cardboard, light cheese. Good mouthfeel, with a good mix of caramel, roasted malt, molasses and light liquorice. Very good Stout.
