Jan 5, 2008 I really enjoy this beer. Unlike a lot of dark beers I have had, this beer is not bitter and nasty. The malty chocolate flavor is pleasant and does not leave your mouth feeling violated. I also use this beer in recipes calling for dark beer as it lends a nice flavor to beef dishes.

Sep 11, 2006 Tastes like a roasted coffee/chocolate milkshake without the milk. I bet if you made beer floats with this stuff it would be SICK. Not like sick in a bad way, but more along the lines of how the "kids" are using it. What I mean is, really good.

Jan 12, 2007 TASTY! If you like a big. complex stout balanced by some residual sugar, this is the beer for you. The flavor expands in your mouth and lingers for at least a minute after the beer is gone. Nothing seems out of balance despite so many flavors.

Sep 26, 2008 12 oz. Opaque with a creamy quarter-inch head that endures and frosts the glass. Big molasses, coffee and marshmallow aromas. Flavor is similar, but subdued well by some nice hickory char and additional coffee. Medium body is super-creamy smooth and pleasantly dry, with a very drinkable balance between sticky vs. watery mouthfeel. This one was a very pleasant surprise.

Jul 4, 2002 This beer is a great example of a sweet stout. It lingers on my tongue and it makes me just want to beg for more. Great consistency and a lingering flavor that licks at your tongue. A solid stout that holds its own.
