Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of alcohol, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol and fruit, leading to a drywoody and alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of gunhaver. Hazy amber golden with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of wood, caramel, alcohol and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied with notes of fruit, caramel and wood. The finish is rather raw and unrefined bitter with quite some alcohol. 311008

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with a diminished off-white head. Mild wineous and spiced hoppy with a dark and mild roasted malty base note. Bitter and slight spiced flavoured with a solid caramel malty and dense hoppy note. Ends malty and slight spiced.

Source: Tasting, Cellar Party

Appearance: clear dark ruby red, wispy beige head, drippy lace,
Aroma: sweet caramel malt aroma with a light earthy and oak bitterness,
Flavor: sweet dark caramel malt flavor, touch of fruity character, light oak adds the bitterness and a dryness, touch of sweet vanilla, only a psychological hint of bourbon, fleeting barrel tartness,

Score: 3.4 to 3.5

Aroma: a nice fruityness in the aroma along with a touch of vanilla,
Flavor: oak and vanilla is coming through stronger in the flavor, still mostly caramel but the bourbon actually shows up in the background this time,

Hazy medium amber colour. Big nose with a hint of bourbon, lots of fat toffee and caramel malts. Not getting much barrel on the palate, but given how good knucklhead can be with its rich malts, I’m not going to sweat it.

Tasting at Papsoe
Hazy red-dark amber color; small creamy head. Creamy (milky) caramel aroma, nice. Strong caramel flavor, some chocolate malt, strong bitterness, roasted nuts character, some hop resins but less American-type hopping than usual, which makes of it an original one, at least, since it´s not the best. Strong ending bitterness.

22oz bottle. Poured a deeper amberish / brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of wood, a little earthy, dark fruits, toffee, and some boubon. Tastes of boubon, vanilla, caramel, dark fruits, and oaky woodiness. Light alcohol in the finish. Its not an ’in your face’ barley wine or barrel aged beers, but it is quite drinkable and I did enjoy it.
