The aroma is very sweet with notes of alcohol, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol and fruit, leading to a drywoody and alcoholic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2006 On tap @ Horsebrass. This had somewhat of a wang to it. Foamy head, and some hazy couldiness murks into its brunt amber coloring. Bourbon is the word, somewhat okay and sour, but lots of vanilla and honey. Did not really blow the wind of my skirt but I am glad I got to try it. 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA

Brownish in color, perhaps a bit of haze with a very slight red tinge. Midimal to no head formation and no lacing left behind. Very pleasant bourbon notes in aroma, chock full of vanilla, some honey. Medium bodied with slight carbonation. Pleasant, mild bourbon burn from alcohol and the barrel aging. Vanilla and some tannins. Slightly astringent. Perhaps some light smoke. Pretty well done, not really overwhelming. IrishBoy (2722), Bakersfield, California, USA

Tast of bitter hops and a bit. I think this will tast pretty good in a couple of years after the fresh hops die. travita (1960), Frisco, Texas, USA

Pours a murky swamp water brown with one finger tan head and crazy lacing. Nose is bourbon, dark fruits, caramel and brown sugar. Taste is bourbon, wood, raisins, caramelized sugar and a hoppy bitter finish which cuts the sweetness nicely. Medium mouth feel. Decent BW. Thanks Steve!
