Light piny hop aroma, backed by some sweet malt. Very dark copper color with a vigorous beige head that laces a bit. Starts balanced: hop and malt arrive together. For me this is not a common experience. There is spice and a hint of dark fruit - but just a hint. Medium mouthfeel. The finish is light fruit with malt backing. Yet there is hop presence. Very good.

Dark orange, small fizzy/foamy tan head. Mostly malt and caramel aroma, a bit of hops. Very watery flavor and palate, but decent malts and spices.

Very unusual, but nice, aroma. Cherries, maybe? Appears dark red with good amount of head. Malty flavor, cherries again, very good. Better flavor as it warms. Malty and good.

Very dark amber wit ha small beige head. Aroma and flavor of malt and dark spices, maybe pepper and cinnamon. Nice alcohol warmth, but not a remarkable beer really. Tasty, but milder than expected.

This was an okay beer for the holidays. Fairly smooth for the alcohal content, but very lacking in flavor. I found it to be enjoyable yet forgetable.

Bottle: Red brown pour with a white head and nice lacing. Mild aroma of malt, yeast, and a bit of fruit. Taste is smooth and malty, caramel sweet, spice, and a light sour in the tail. Not bad, but flavor intensity is not there.

Rusty brown with a tan head that quickly fades to a thin film. Roasted malt and hint of spice aromas. Sweet up front with a smooth bitterness. Dates in the lingering finish.

Reddish brown with thick tan head that lasts. Blah blah brown ale, roasty, blah blah blah. I guess I had high expectations after reading some other ratings. There are no sweet sugared plums and cherries to be had... there was no fruitcake, but that’s a good thing since that is not something I want my beer to taste like. Alas, no tidings of joy or goodwill to all men. Maybe I just need a few more helpings of the Christmas Spirit. Overall, a glorified brown ale but a decent beer none-the-less.
