This was a decent beer with OK taste. It was fairly creamy with a decent amount of malt to it. I would recommend this to anyone for the style.

Nice deep red color...Fluffy tan head that leaves excellent lacing on the sides of my glass...Lovely floral hop aroma...Taste is slightly roasted and spicey but is followed by a crisp hop bitterness...A good seasonal very warming...Cheers Gromit another winner

Pours a dark ruby color. Aroma consists of some hoppiness. But aroma is mostly sweet and malty.. Flavor is sort of sweet and piney. Also has a fruity hop flavor.

Bottle Pours a clear dark redish brown witha small off white head that quickly settles but still manages to maintain nice very resilient lacing. Aroma is a very nice plum cherry fruity combo with an alchol, almost cough syrup hint. Flavors are consistant, pitted fruit, alcohol is up front but not too strong. A bit of cherry throat lozenges and nsome nice dark malts. Easy on the hops. Palate is not particularly rich and the aftertaste is a slightly smokey somewhat bitter wood/grass flavor.

2004 edition: pours a dark red color, thin head but thick creamy lacing. Much like Snowcap but a little more malty and sweet, very smooth and well balanced, not as hoppy and bitter as Snowcap. A very solid Winter Brew.

Appearance: deep crimson color, clear and light at bottom, and adorned with a generous, cream-colored head of foam. Aroma: interesting...a bit harsh at first, whiskey-ish, alcohol stands firm and foremost in the nose (though it’s not terribly strong), with underlying fruit (plums, cherries, berries, grapes) and spices, and it becomes sweeter and rosier as it unfolds. Taste: very agreeable on the palate, quite smooth and mellow, with with a rich, roasty, tasty flavor all the way through. Highly drinkable, medium bodied, decent, fruity finish. A very happy little X-Mas brew, certain to please even a Scrooge. Humbug, this ain’t!

Draft. Ruby beer with a nice off-white head. Nice hop profile-citrus and some spice- with some malt backing. Aroma of citrus hops. Light bitterness with an underlying roastiness. Well balanced.
