Had a nice sweet malty finish. Picked this up at World Market and it’s a lot better than I thought. I’d drink this again for sure. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Dark brown in color and cloudy with an average size head. Hop aromas with slight caramel hints. Hop flavors dominate. Not the best as a winter warmer.

pours a semi-clear dark copper with a ruby tint, small light beige head, some lacing.
smell is of spice, sour malts, roasted walnuts, some caramel, and pepper.
taste is thick, creamy, sour malts, roasted nuts, cinnamon, spice, caramel, a touch of bakers chocolate way in the back, and some hops, leaves the mouth on the sticky side and a little bitter. timfoolery (484), California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2007 Poured a deep ruby-copper color with limited head. This brew tastes distinctly of malts and spices, as advertised. For a winter brew, this beer tastes like the season. The spices make it just a bit more interesting than the typical strong ale. Very good. shakespeare33 (120), san diego, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2007 12oz bottle.. pours a muddy brown with a sustaining head.. the aroma is distinct flavoring of caramel with little else.. the initial taste is very static and simple with little complexity.. hints of choclate overtones and some nutty concoctions but other than that a very subdued ale..the simplicity however, invites me in again.. no palate hangover, not bad. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA

Aroma is dark malt and caramel. Flavor is muted but has caramel, brown malt and a touch of roastiness. Flavor is really muted and not christmas like at all. Basically just caramel all the way. thooper41 (392), Oregon, USA
