Fruity taste with a prolonged mouth coating bitter finish. Good american ESB. trafford (171), Germantown, Tennessee, USA

A great social beer that keeps its consitency and flavor. Strong hops have a nice, long-lasting aftertaste. alittlemelty (3), Michigan, USA does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jul 7, 2006 I had this on tap at the brewery in Portland. I wish I would have bought more than a 6-pack to bring home with me, as it is not available anywhere near Detroit. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 29, 2006 Clear coppery color, good, 1/2" amber-y head.
Soft aromatics, lightly, but brightly, fruity, hints of caramel, neat hoppiness.
Clean arrival on the palate, crisp and elegant. Lightish in body, with an easy finish, malty traces traipse gingerly off the palate.
Very tasty, generous malt flavor, super smooth, and certainly a classic take on the ESB style.
Caveat: I’m not normally an ESB fan, but this is one I can ride with.

The aroma is sweet malty combined with a good hop presence and a light fruit presence. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of toffee, but also light notes of barn yard and fruit. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
