Copper colored brew, small floaties drifting around. Nose is lightly earthy, lightly toasty malt notes, a touch fruity. Body is light/medium and fairly crisp. Dry malt flavors with a light hop spiceyness, a hint metallic, citrus? Dry malty finish. Thanks kaggie97! NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Aroma is citrusy hops and fruity malt. Color is similar to dark brewed tea and it sports a pinky thick, creamy white head. Fore is a nice mix of appletinged malts and flavorful, low bitterness, hops. Finish is more sweet fruit along with floral and herbal tasting hops. It’s tasty, but a little perfumey tasting as it warms. brownaler (379), Topsail Beach, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 1, 2006 Red orange color haze body with medium off-white head. Citrus aroma. Body carries the citrus into the taste which could maybe use a little more bite. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 28, 2006 Clear amber color with a thick and rocky white head. Aroma is lightly apple like with a hint of hops. Malty apple beginning in the flavor with a pleasant bitter finish. Enjoyable ESB. Not incredibly complex but tasty enough for everyday drinking. grat (433), ST. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2006 Now this is an excellent sessoin ale. Murky, almost purple, orange copper ale. White head that dissipates. Nose is all cotton candy and powdered sugar. Sweet, sweet nose. A metallic, rusty edge completes the britishness of the malty aroma. Hops lie dormant but apparent in the nose. A very subtle bitterness that isn’t too fancy and not too much either. Well done for the style I think. Flavors are complex. The sweetness turns into a bitterness almost immediately. The sweet malts smash against your tastebuds and mix up into a mettalic and battery acid bitterness that is quite pleasing. Finish is all hoppy bitterness. Very earthy. Dirt-like hop bitterness. Good beer all in all. Mumpu (46), USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 18, 2006 Bottle. Pours amber with off-white head that quickly dissipates to lace. Herbal aroma, restrained carbonation, rather dry actually, a good serving of hops, dried fruit (plum and apricot) in the finish. A very good ESB. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2006 Pours coppery red with a medium tan head. Nose is floral hops. Very flavorful with lots of hops character, well balanced with creamy wheat. Rather bitter for an ESB but not unpleasantly so, and not out of style. Mildly bitter floral aftertaste mixes with the good malt character. Pretty good. sethdude (603), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 18, 2006 Pours a perfect amber with a big head and lots and lots of lacing. Aroma is very floral (dandelion?) with a mild herbal note, perhaps a bit of honey. Flavor is perfectly balanced, sweet and toasty malt meets bitter and smooth hops. A bit on the acidic side, and certainly spritzy, but very nice. Very quaffable. Very good balance.
