Nice carmel color with light head. Flowery and roasted aroma, very nice. Sweetness and flowery hops meet very well balanced. Almost creamy in texture, with a finish that just carries over the flowery beginning. Smooth.

Pours a cloudy pale copper under a one finger white head with lots of bubbles. The head fades quickly to thick film, but leaves lots of lace spots. The nose is coniferous, with a touch of malt fighting its way through the sap. The mouth is light and well-carbonated - a bit too much for the style. The flavor profile is about right, with mild sweet plum in the malt, chased by pretty strong pine bitterness. The finish is strong and dry, while the aftertaste fades quickly to a dry tickle at the back of the throat.

This is pretty good. Pours a nice caramel gold in color with an immense, frothy head. Big time aroma of perfumy hops with caramel swetness. Drink it all day flavor of sweet apples with the softness of English lemony hops. Finishes sweet. Very nice. Thanks to mjames.

Bottle. Pours deep copper/amber with decent head. Sweet malt aroma with interplays of caramel and bread. Nice English hop aroma, slightly earthy and herbal. Very balanced beer. Sweet caramelt, decent bitterness, toasty malt. Somethings tells me this would be special if you could find it on cask. Perhaps at the Hawthorne cafe?

Brownish copper, with a smallish head. Peppery, toasty aroma. Malty, sweetish body. Notes of rye brea, too. Well blended and drinkable.

12 oz bottle, from Blue Max in Burnsville, MN (Dec 2005). Cloudy medium amber-brown, massive frothy head decays slowly and unevenly with huge chunks of lace...pleasant but restrained dried apple-caramel-apricot in the nose...body slightly tart, bit yeasty-bready it seems (bottle-conditioned? dunno), sour-fruity, with a fairly dry, faintly metallic finish...bit too thin and underwhelming to be memorable but reasonably drinkable.
