| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 27, 2005 Medium amber-orange hue with a medium, creamy/frothy off-white head that’s short lived. Caramel, grainy, doughy yeast. Citric/floral hops. Fairly neutral flavor. Moderately sweet flavor. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, watery texture, moderate carbonation. Third out of three Bridgeports that I’ve found to be a bit grainy. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 23, 2005 A nice simple beer. A dark orange appearance with a caramel and peach aroma. A slightly bitter yet malty taste with more caramel and peaches in the flavor. Nothing impressive but ok for a session ale. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 23, 2005 A clear copper body is topped by a smallish head. The aroma is malty with a bit of caramel, but not much in the way of hops. Touch of bitterness in the end. beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Bottle, coppery brown clear pour. I could smell the alcohol in the aroma - weird for something thats only 6%. Medium caramel malty aroma, and citrus hops come out for me. Caramel malty flavors, with lighter hop flavors present than in the aroma. Thin. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Liquid Solutions in Tigard, OR) The beer looks impressive enough, boasting a clear, dark ruddy-amber color, and a small but creamy off-white head, but the rest is a bit of a disappointment. The aroma is sugary sweet, caramely and earthy rather than genuinely malty, and shows little in the way of hops. While I’m picking up a bit of roasty maltiness, a sugary sweet caramel dominates the flavor as well, and makes this seem a little cheap. Hops bitterness is minimal in my book, and though hops might help a little, with or without hops, the sugary sweetness is an issue for me anyway. There is a slight smokiness in the finish, and that’s at least something to hang my hat on. Body is medium, but without the hops, the sugary flavor becomes a bit tiring on the palate. Carbonation levels are fine. The head has faded to a wide ring, but lacing is non-existent. Just another so-so effort from BridgePort, but an ESB with hardly any hops bitterness is not something I’d seek out again. 11026 (1779), Alabama, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2005 Bottle. Pours a crystal clear copper color. Beautiful dense, off-white head forms and slowly fades to a light foam layer and ring at the edge. Intricate lacing left behind. Fresh, floral aroma with a hint of caramel and toast. Light bodied to medium with a pleasant carbonation. Flavor is floral hop with an underlaying sweetness. Quite a nice ESB. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 25, 2005 Poured a clear copper color. Hoppy aroma. Mainly malt but a good amount of hops mixed in. More than expected. Touch of alc as well. Malty flavor with a bitter finish. Reminder me more of a pale ale. Nice beer.
