Pretty good. Some light wood along with some light hops. I think this style is starting to grow on me. Or I have just had a few good ESB’s as of late. travita (1960), Frisco, Texas, USA

More sweet than bitter, but the lingering aftertaste is more of the latter, medium dry. From a tap, I imagine this beer is better. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2007 Bottle from jake65 - thanks, Jake! Big aroma, English hops abound with a touch of gritty, earthen fruit and citrus. Sweet and very fruity! Rich amber body, nosing in on caramel, with a tiny-bubbled, nigh soapy beige head. Crisp, dry, and very bready taste, easing into a bready, hoppy aftertaste. Very fruity with a gritty citric hop presence - pounding, powerful Goldings exert great influence here. Deft touch of funk in with the caramel and toffee mix. Classic medium body. Really solid!
