On CASK at BrewPub Portland OR, Pours out a hazy copper topped with a off white head. Pretty good. Some light wood along with some light hops. I think this style is starting to grow on me. Or I have just had a few good ESB’s as of late.

Orangish copper color with a small white head. Slightly hoppy and fruity smell with a little caramel. Taste is hops and slightly bitter in a nice way.

Quintessential NW ESB--Pours a handsome amber body with a lively small white head. Nose of crisp earthy mildly sweet malts and sharp spicy hops. Sweet, chewy delectable flavor that finished about as smooth and rewarding as any around.

Slightly malty with hints of caramel, very crisp hoppy aftertaste. More sweet than bitter, but the lingering aftertaste is more of the latter, medium dry. From a tap, I imagine this beer is better.

on tap-pours a thin off white head and amber color. Aroma is mild slightly sweet medium malt. Taste is mild slightly sweet medium malt, flat/metallic (English) hops, secondary bitterness. OK effervescence. Dead on for the English style. Occasional.

Bottle from jake65 - thanks, Jake! Big aroma, English hops abound with a touch of gritty, earthen fruit and citrus. Sweet and very fruity! Rich amber body, nosing in on caramel, with a tiny-bubbled, nigh soapy beige head. Crisp, dry, and very bready taste, easing into a bready, hoppy aftertaste. Very fruity with a gritty citric hop presence - pounding, powerful Goldings exert great influence here. Deft touch of funk in with the caramel and toffee mix. Classic medium body. Really solid!
