Abounds with Imported English Goldings hops at a weight of one pound per barrel. It has the assertiveness, aroma and unbanished flavor beer used to have before the cost-cutters started.

Had this beer on 5/2/1998. Color is a rich golden brown and although it dos not have the haze that the IPA has it does have a small amount of yeast floating in it. Carbonation is low and there is almost no head. There is only the slightest scent of malt of the top of the glass so there isn’t any aroma to talk about. Taste is good with a crisp body and strong bitter finish. It starts off with a crisp body and as it goes down you can feel the bitterness starting with a slight bit at the back of your mouth. The Finish comes on with a good bitterness that last only a moment, leaving you clean.

Served on tap at the bridgeport ale house. Great floral scent of strong hops and subtle malts. Strong flavor and hits a little hard. Followed with a sweet sensation. Classic in my opinion.

Bottle Amber pour with a decent light head and lacing. Very sweet aroma and flavor, not bitter at all. Very smooth.

This is a nice smooth ESB. It has the body and light hop you would expect followed with the hint of sweetness.

bottle. a light, cloudy amber or orange with no head and no carbonation. it had a smell mostly of fruit to me with some hops. the taste, however, had no hops. what i tasted in it was apples. It was also sweet with a slightly thickish mouthfeel, and a sweet but short0-lived finish with a bit if bite.

Very English tasting. By that I mean: it has that ESB/no hops taste (yes, I know it’s hopped, but in that light way...). Not bad for an ESB.

Pours a sparkling dark orange with a rocky, beige head. Notes of caramel and toasted bread with perfumy hops backing up the malts. The mouthfeel is light to medium-bodied and creamy with a nice bitter hop finish. The flavor is an effervescent toasted malt and caramel with a pleasant fruity hop conclustion. Creamy and smooth, I rather like this one. Nice balance and easy drinking.
