Hop bitterness evident, especially in the aftertaste. Great tasting beer.

Bitter, as i t should be. Full and thick but very soft flavor. Very aromatic. Highly recommended for someone experimenting.

I had this on tap at the brewery in Portland. I wish I would have bought more than a 6-pack to bring home with me, as it is not available anywhere near Detroit.

Pours a cloudy dark amber with a nice head and and leaves beautiful legs. This is a very fine mouthful of beer. It has a full sweet malt middle balanced by the proper amount of hop bite on the end. Mouthfeel can only be described as "silky". This is an absolutely beutiful beer and on of my absolute faves. This is an excellent ESB, unfortunately recently reviewed by several illiterates.

Got to love this bad boy, big nose and a nice bite. Strong and hearty, the way all beers should be.

This is pretty good. Pours a nice caramel gold in color with an immense, frothy head. Big time aroma of perfumy hops with caramel swetness. Drink it all day flavor of sweet apples with the softness of English lemony hops. Finishes sweet. Very nice. Thanks to mjames.

The Goldings plus generous malting (which really show as it warms, the hops more when cold) make a fantastic combination. A truly excellent offering. I was pleasantly surprised! Aroma is fabulous, earthy.

Deep copper, almost ruby in color with a dusty/perfumey/earthy hop aroma that just screams "english" to me. Low but persisten carbonation. Soft luscious malts, both bready and biscuity, with a bit of dark crystal malt astringency (not a bad thing at all.) Bitterness is solid and earthy and stays with the flavor throughout. Excellent english character. Fabulous session beer!
