FlyingSwine (132), Littleton, Colorado, USA Apr 15, 2008 Pours a perfectly cloudy amber, with just a touch of ivory head. Aroma is light with a touch of citrus. Flavor is perfectly bitter, and the Goldings come through like a proper ESB should. Its a shame more American ESBs don’t use the Goldings like Bridgeport does. Palate is a thin (in accordance with the style), but a bit fizzy and dry. Overall one of my favorite ESBs. Well done Bridgeport.
The_Captain (339), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle - Another Oregon beer taster, poured a clear amber with a slight off white head. Some faint toasted bread qualities with a rather pleasant hops flavor. A good ESB but looking for more of a punch, lacked a little in the finish. Biddle_Brau (155), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 21, 2008 Amber with faint off-white head. Faint malt aroma. Toasted malt flavor with hop flavor and bitterness ensures this isn’t a too sweet of a brew.
shanepardue (81), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Jun 30, 2008 This beer pours a nice amber color with a thick head. The flavor starts out nice and strong, but I don’t like how it ends. It’s a fair ESB, but that’s it. hop_lover (156), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Jun 10, 2008 Not my favorite esb. The flavor is nice and aroma, but the palate is a little harsh. phishpond417 (1463), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 21, 2008 Tastey beer! Pours a clear amber colour with a small white head. toasty, a hint of smoke and delightfully bitter. Not overly acidic, balanced citrus fruit flavors.
