| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Gold with a slight haze, good amount of head, and some lacings. Aroma is funky yeast and malts.
Taste is sweet and sour with a peach pit flavor and a sight bitter and sweet alternating. Funky and delicious it is an all too easy to drink Trippel. Alcohol is well masked. This would be a good introduction to the style. Maybe a touch too sweet, that should help the neophyte enjoy an unfamiliar style. Overall a very tasty brew. stefanje (947), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 7, 2009 650ml bottle courtesy of ditmier. Pours a hazy gold color with a small white head that receded slowly to a film. The aroma is that of a classic tripel with rock candy, buttery yeast, oak, sweet malts and something floral. The taste is pretty much the same, this is a sweet beer with a big rock candy presence, also taste some banana, pear and nutmeg spice. The finish is medium in duration and sweet. The mouthfeel is silky and malty with soft carbonation. overall: A very good tripel, no complaints here. bhensonb (4341), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 21, 2009 Bottle from Bottle Trek. Hazy orange amber color with little head. Nice aroma of citrus over caramel. Flavor is just a touch oaky or bretty with malt, citrus and spice. Quite astringent. A balancing sweetness develops towards the finish. Very tasty product. Every sip is a delite. Reid (1092), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2009 Light clear golden ale, small white head,does not last long. good lace though.
Flowery lighly spiced aromas. Some lemon zest.
Light fruity, zestful tastes Some esters and spice, I think some of the "fruit" is coming from the wine barrels, but no wood tones.
Nice palate, lightly and softly carbonated, smooth and light.
Nice light Belgian style beer.
Summer beer.
And no way this is 8.2%, it is so well hidden.
This beer could get a guy in trouble.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Now this was an interesting one. From a 22 oz bottle this poured a cloudy orange with a medium white that left decent lacing rings. Nose is very much Belgian yeast with lots of ripe fruit. Mouthfeel is lively and the flavor is full of the fruit flavors you associate with Belgians. Finish shows the alcohol a bit but overall this is very drinkable. glkaiser (1171), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 10, 2009 22oz bottle. Clear dark golden with thin head that dies quickly. No visible carbonation. More adventurous than I expected for some reason. Tastes of mild spicy belgian yeast, a little dull pineapple/banana. Almost tastes like a little funky brett in there? But, just a little...or, could be a wine barrel and not just an oak barrel? Either way, I actually quite enjoy this take on a Tripel. Hope to see this one again.
