Commercial Description:
A refreshing extra pale ale, Haymaker features a distinct blend of four malts and three varieties of hops that create a slightly complex ale with a light body and a crisp finish. Its alcohol by volume of 5.3% complements the low bitterness - 15 bittering units - and original gravity of 12.8 degrees Plato. Bright golden in color, it can best be described as "sunshine in a glass."

Bottle: Golden in color, fairly clear, thin fizzy white head, sparce lacing, little to no carbonation.   Nose smells of straight cereal like malts, somewhat grainy and musty.   Very little, if any, hop character.   Considering the name, perhaps I am also getting a little bit of hay, or at least some sort of grass.   Mealy on the tongue, cereal like, musty, barnish, dry grass... ugh... I was thinking of a smaller version of their IPA but nope, not gonna happen.   Thin to moderate body, average mouthfeel.   Cereal like finish.   This one has little to no hop character, making it a very boring Pale Ale.   Not that interesting at all... and certainly not much like a Pale Ale if you ask me.

12oz bottle-A medium golden body with a small white head and an aroma of malt, biscuits, and malt along with a pale lager smell. Taste of citrus, grass, slight hops, and like the aroma a pale lager taste. Not sure if I would even call this any kind of pale ale but a decent summertime beer but not much to it.

Pours pale yellow w/ a medium sized, semi creamy froth. Hangtime is limited and leaves a thin lace. Aromas of faint raspberry malts w/ slight biscuits ? Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Very crisp w/ a thin malt component. Nuances if vanilla, pasdionfruit, raspberry, and banana popsickle. These favors are minute in the scheme of things. Not a real flavorful beer yet quite complex. The finish is bittered well and is slightly acidic.

Bottle from BevMo. Pours a light golden color. Lighty peppery hoppy quality. Some what soapy. Slightly sweet malty flavors. Lightly hopped. Pretty mild APA. Refreshing though.

Good balance of hops and malts.Beautiful gold color, smooth, great summer bbq beer. almost in that hazy area between a pale ale and a lager. citrus is present.
