Commercial Description:
A refreshing extra pale ale, Haymaker features a distinct blend of four malts and three varieties of hops that create a slightly complex ale with a light body and a crisp finish. Its alcohol by volume of 5.3% complements the low bitterness - 15 bittering units - and original gravity of 12.8 degrees Plato. Bright golden in color, it can best be described as "sunshine in a glass."

Purchased at Gomer’s of Kansas. Pours a light golden color with a little white head. The bubbles are flowing pretty nicely from the bottom. Aroma is malty, wheat, with a slight citrus. Sweeter than I thought it was going to be with some citrus and finishes dry with a not so pleasing aftertaste.

Bottle. Mild hoppy aroma. Poured pale gold with lating white head, like a lager. Citrusy, with a hint of malt and bread. Lasting spicy finish on the front of the tongue. I drank this after hours of yard work in the hot sun.

From a 12 oz. bottle, no freshness date, short blurb on the neck label, sampled in nonic glass. A nice blonde appearance, clear orangey golden with a frothy white head, fair amount of sticking, settled into a thin lacing. Husky, grassy grains, bready, banana fruity, citric and floral, an appealing nose. Crisp and dry, creamy light body, pale malty tastes, sweet fruity, bready and a dry graininess, combination of orange and lemon peels, softly spicy hops, dry malty finish with a light spiciness. This is an nice summertime seasonal, goes down easy on a muggy August evening, refreshing taste.

12 oz bottle a friend brought to dinner. Pour is clear golden with a pretty big white head. Actually looks quite a bit like a pale lager in the glass. Aroma is pretty faint though some malt poked through. The taste was really chemically on the first sip. Pretty sure that’s a load of diacetyl. After the original blast, this settles into a pretty dull beer.

This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a head of foamy white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated light brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was malty and dirty sock. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt mildly piney hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

Pours golden with high carbonation and a small head. Aroma is dry, hoppy, vinous. Initial taste is bland malt, followed by moderate hop bitterness. Balanced sweetness. Mild fruitiness in the finish. Bridgeport continues to slide.
