| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a small white head leaving behind decent spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a fruity hop with citrus and grapefruit. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet grain taste. Easy to drink a very refreshing beer perfect for the heat. A good American pale ale from Bridgeport. glkaiser (1171), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 17, 2009 It’s not uncommon to find a brewery advertise a beer as a pale ale, only to serve up an unbalanced hop monster. The Haymaker avoids that and presents a balanced pale ale with assertive hops and bready malts. The hops fade to the back letting the malts take over as the beer finishes. This is a perfect BBQ beer to bring for a crowd. milljam (583), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 6, 2009 I would necessarily say refreshing, or ’sunshine in a glass’. Mild hop aroma, mainly herbal and a bland flavor profile, with some notes of hops and malt. Mouthfeel is light, and although thirst-quenching on a hot day, the overall beer is a bit lacking. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Sampled at Bridgeport, clear yellow, small head. A little grassy, really light and watery. As expected, not a huge winner for beer geeks. ryanknock (150), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 14, 2009 Considering I think of Bridgeport IPA as really more of a Pale Ale by todays agressive standards, their pale ale was a pleasant surprise, almost a very hoppy small beer, or an American version of a bitter. This sample was tried on site, and was very biscutty, toasty and slightly carmelly overall. A slightly grassy, lemony hop presence ran throughout. The overall impression is a crisp, dry grainy, and slightly hoppy beer. This is the lawnmower beer for hopheads. ansermadide (512), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 22, 2008 12oz bottle… at work… on December 22, 2008. Little to no head... what was left was soapy. Murky orange color. Bitter, light pale flavor. Numbing sensation on my tongue. Crisp is right... something in it almost reminds me of a lager.
