Commercial Description:
A refreshing extra pale ale, Haymaker features a distinct blend of four malts and three varieties of hops that create a slightly complex ale with a light body and a crisp finish. Its alcohol by volume of 5.3% complements the low bitterness - 15 bittering units - and original gravity of 12.8 degrees Plato. Bright golden in color, it can best be described as "sunshine in a glass."

surprised that this was a pale ale when I drank it. was more like a hef to me. Again another beer that I imagine would be great in the summer time but didn’t do anything for me in the cold of winter. They do a lot better with their other beers.

Poured a dull, straw haze with a lively white head. Nose of carboardy grain and minimal hops. Coppery, metallic, watery, and sessionable. Mildly "earthy" but more like dirt. Not very impressive.

Bottle. Pours a semi-lively dull orange/yellow with an aroma of coppery, ripe bananas. Flavor is dull spice and watery grain. Hints of nut and malt in the finish. Slight floral notes. Watery mouthfeel. Glad I only bought one. A dissappointing effort from a great brewer.

A golden, slightly cloudy pour, with a small head. It has a slightly musty aroma and a waxy mouthfeel. The flavor is good and resembles a weak hefewiezen more than a pale ale.

12 oz. bottle, courtesy of DarkElf. Pours clear medium amber, small off-white head and spotty lace. Grainy malts along with hints of honey and hay in the aroma. Toasty and grainy malt flavors, floral and grassy hops, balanced but astringent and herby. Medium body and agressive carbonation. Ehhh...

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden color with a complex floral hop bouquet. Flavor is clean with hops in the front and the malt taking the backseat. There are hints of orange and a little caramel. An unusual interpretation, but actually very drinkable.

Upon its departure from the 12 ounce bottle the beer presents a clear gold color with a bright white frothy head that slowly evanesces leaving a slight coating of lace upon the glass. Nose has a nice malt aroma, sweet with a nice citrus like crispness, start has a sweet malt profile, top is moderate in feel. Finish is dry, the acidity perfect, and the hops noticeable, clean to the palate. BridgePort ranks in my top ten all time favorite breweries.
