Commercial Description:
A refreshing extra pale ale, Haymaker features a distinct blend of four malts and three varieties of hops that create a slightly complex ale with a light body and a crisp finish. Its alcohol by volume of 5.3% complements the low bitterness - 15 bittering units - and original gravity of 12.8 degrees Plato. Bright golden in color, it can best be described as "sunshine in a glass."

on tap-pours a white head that laces and yellow color. Aroma is grassy/grain-caramel, like a pilsner with extra medium malt. Taste is grassy/spicy-hops, grain/light malt-sweet caramel, crisp. OK effervescence.

Bottle courtesy of RiversideAK. Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells citrussy with some grassy hints. Tastes of citrus, some sweet malt, hints of tartness. Nice.

Draft @ Bridgeport in Portland. Mostly clear straw colored body. Nose of skunked grains and hazy and dry, twangy, strange hops (moldy). Flavor is malt-forward but thin on the palate, skunky and twangy, simple and sour grains. Not good.

Bottle: Pours a goldish yellow color with light head and some lacing. The nose is dry and husky with some wheat and malt, the hops are dusty and a bit vague. The flavor is thin, lots of pale malts, maybe even pilsner malts. Lacking bitterness. Thin finish. Lawnmower beer for sure, and not a bad one at that. I’ll take this over that ever-so-popular Full Sail Session Lager any day. Then again, a Terminal Gravity IPA would best them both combined. Touché!

Draught @ Flyers Restaurant & Brewery, Oak Harbor, WA. Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a malty grainy and slightly hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy hoppy flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy finish.
