Commercial Description:
A refreshing extra pale ale, Haymaker features a distinct blend of four malts and three varieties of hops that create a slightly complex ale with a light body and a crisp finish. Its alcohol by volume of 5.3% complements the low bitterness - 15 bittering units - and original gravity of 12.8 degrees Plato. Bright golden in color, it can best be described as "sunshine in a glass."

This is a realy good, smooth, lighter kinda beer. Lightly hopped, but distinct hop presence. Real good and simple.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass a clear yellow with a decent one inch white head. Smell was faint hops, a little earthy. The taste was mild with a little citrus and more earthiness. The drinkability was outstanding as the ABV was low and the beer went down so smooth. Great session beer. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-18-2007 15:52:37

From a 12 oz. bottle, no freshness date, short blurb on the neck label, sampled in nonic glass. A nice blonde appearance, clear orangey golden with a frothy white head, fair amount of sticking, settled into a thin lacing. Husky, grassy grains, bready, banana fruity, citric and floral, an appealing nose. Crisp and dry, creamy light body, pale malty tastes, sweet fruity, bready and a dry graininess, combination of orange and lemon peels, softly spicy hops, dry malty finish with a light spiciness. This is an nice summertime seasonal, goes down easy on a muggy August evening, refreshing taste.

Nice lemon yellow looking color. Slightly cloudy. Decent head with beautiful lacing. Wonderful hoppy/floral aroma. Even better slightly bitter lemony taste. Not a bad beer. Paired really well with crackers and smoked cheese. A new session beer for me!

Golden color with a touch of orange. Big hop aroma, grass, hay, citrus, grapefruit, light golden malt, maybe some wheat? Flavor: citrus, grass, hay, hops. Light but complex malts, pine. Finish is dry, fruity, with citrus hops and grass. Very light, but wonderfully flavorful and refreshing beer.

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden color with a complex floral hop bouquet. Flavor is clean with hops in the front and the malt taking the backseat. There are hints of orange and a little caramel. An unusual interpretation, but actually very drinkable.

I can’t place it, but this beer reminds me strongly of another beer that I had probably 5 years ago. Attractive dark yellow color with a sturdy white head. Smells of wheat and lemon zest. Fairly complex, highly carbonated, good hops punch, which is quickly dissipated. Very nice beer.
