Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 31, 2009 Bomber courtesy of kenb. Pours a hazy dark gold with a thick 2 finger off-white head that leaves great lacing. The nose is floral and citrus hops. The taste is caramel, citrus, tart grapefruit and pine. Medium semi-creamy mouthfeel. Very nice IIPA. Thanks Ken bsjay (54), Oregon, USA Oct 28, 2009 A nice, well-balanced DIPA with the citrusy hop flavor and aroma I so crave, yet with an appropriate bitterness for the alc burn (pretty well hidden). Could be my favorite Bridgeport, today at least. bitbucket (2025), Kirkland, Washington, USA Oct 27, 2009 Pours hazy orange with a fluffy off-white head. Big, citrus-dominated nose. Sharp pine finish. Aggy360 (115), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska, USA Oct 13, 2009 Pours a hazy golden orange with yellow highlights. It has a tight off white head. The aroma is very citrusy and fruity. A lot of orange character in the aroma, very sweet. A malt base that is quickly overpowered by a beautiful blend of citrus and pine hop flavors and bitterness. The finish is dry, very nice DIPA. KyotoLefty (1370), Kyoto, Japan Sep 13, 2009 Draught at the Bridgeport Brewery.
Amber-orange color with lace. Very earthy hop aroma with cut grass, cow shit and marijuana. Flavors of grassy hops, pine, dark fruit, caramel, with a long, earthy, hop and grass finish. Very complex hops and enough malt to make it work well. Wacky but interesting aromas, and a rich, full mouth. The best of the day.
Savvy1982 (303), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Aug 19, 2009 Bottle. Thanks to Barry. Nose is big and citric, some spruce, orange, grapefruit. Palate is big and sweet, a shade of yeast, well-balanced, not boozy. Very well-made IIPA, but nothing new or brilliant. jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA Aug 7, 2009 Bottle: Pours a flat copper color with a finger of frothy beige head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is sweet with citrus hops and caramel. Nice and rich. Flavor is consistent with a big citrus hop profile, florals, and caramel malts. Lingering sweet and resiny bitters. Very enjoyable. hayduke (1616), Eureka, California, USA Jul 28, 2009 From a 22 oz bottle purchased from Market of Choice in Ashland, Oregon this poured a hazy light orange with a good sized off-white head and robust lacing rings. Nose is mild and of citrus hops. Mouthfeel is full and rich. Flavor is in good balance between the caramel hops and citrus hops and there is some pine notes showing here. Finish is long and bitter. This is overall quite mild for a DIPA but is eminently drinkable.
