Date: 08/30/08, 22 oz. bottle from CelticBrew, sahres with him, Doboy, and Steve E.

Aroma - Fig and date fruitiness, caramel, and a big dose of peppery spice and citrus

Appearance - Hazy deep amber, off white head settling to a lasting thin layer, fair lace

Flavor - Burnt sugar, fruity sweetness, brought into check by a building spicy bitterness

Palate - Medium body and carbonation, resinous, and slight stickiness,

Overall - Very drinkable for a a Double IPA, alcohol never really a factor, a solid offering from Bridgeport.

This cloudy golden ale poured with a thick off-white head and a pleasant malt aroma. The flavor is grassy with some citrus and is seriously bitter. Overall, a fairly good blend of ingredients, especially if you like it hoppy.

Aroma is grassy malt forward with medium caramel balance. Appearance is hazy gold with a moderate maintained white head. Flavor is grassy, a little harsh, and quite earthy. Mouthfeel is little too starchy, but medium bodied and not bad for the style. Overall, quite good for such an overly big brew.

Courtesy of the Legend to be Celticbrew, along with Buddy Steve and the already Mythical Drbayern. You get a wonderful, peppery nose on pouring. The offwhite head stays on top of this nice apricot colored brew. I found it to be a bit too thin on the palate. the hop flavor was good to the last drop.

Pours from 22 oz bomber, a hazy, deep copper. Forms decent off white foamy head, aroma of floral hop flowers, grapefruits, resins. Flavour is much of the same with a nice malty character that nicely balances out this beer. A nice caramel stickyness comes through, making this a pretty decent DIPA.

22 oz bottle from New Seasons - Pours a nice copper color with an inch of foamy head. Floral aroma with a hint of citrus. Breaks down a bit at the taste, but overall a nice beer. It’s a bit like the Brett Favre drama. You’re very interested to see how it all turns out...and then he ends up with the Jets?

pours a cloudy amber-copper with a small off white head and good lacing.
smell is of pink grapefruit, some caramel, citrus, and floral scents.
taste is thick and oily on the palate, very hoppy at first and then mellows out as your taste buds become immune to it, caramel, citrus, few malts in the back, fruit comes out as it warms, finish is dry with a nice bitterness.
